Wondering what type of ID work I have experience in?
If we were sitting in our cozy chairs in my home library, having a chat about my experience in the industry, I'd offer you a warm beverage, and tell you about how my my 14 years as an educator (and training developer and facilitator for staff) and my Master's in Education degree helped shape and prepare me for the field of instructional design. (And let's be honest, I'd probably digress on a small tangent about how that experience also prepared me to be superb at project management.)
Needing to stretch, we'd probably go outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air, diving into my experience working in both corporate and higher education instructional design for the last couple of years, developing (and sometimes delivering) training for my corporate partners, as well as creating college-level courses for several major U.S. universities.
Before telling you about my current role, we'd probably head back to our comfy chairs, and snack on some homemade bread (don't worry, if you have special dietary needs, I'd make you a special loaf!). Then I'd tell you about my experience working with the University of Arizona Global Campus where, for the last year, I've been part of a small but mighty team. I've developed standard operating procedures for our team, new training onboarding programs, leadership training, and a host of other trainings. During this time, I've enjoyed being able to leverage my tech stack (Powtoon, Articulate Rise, Microsoft Office Suite, Tango, Canva, ScreenPal, etc.) to create powerful job aids and trainings to enable our student services teams to run more efficiently and improve performance.
Don't take my word for it, take theirs!
