Stick around for a few minutes and check out some of my featured work here on the homepage or dig a little deeper in the Portfolio section. I'm glad you're here!
If we were sitting in our cozy chairs in my home library, chatting about my experience in the industry, I'd offer you a warm beverage, and tell you about how my my many years as an educator (and training developer and facilitator for staff) and my Master's in Education degree helped shape and prepare me for the field of instructional design. (And let's be honest, I'd probably digress on a small tangent about how that experience also prepared me to be superb at project management.)
Needing to stretch, we'd probably go outside to enjoy the fresh air, diving into my experience working in both corporate and higher education instructional design for the last several years, developing (and sometimes delivering) sales enablement, onboarding, and compliance training for my corporate and higher ed partners, as well as creating college-level courses for several major U.S. universities.
Before telling you about my current role, we'd probably head back to our comfy chairs, and snack on some homemade bread (don't worry, if you have special dietary needs, I'd make you a special loaf!). Then I'd tell you about my experience working with the University of Arizona Global Campus where, for the last two years, I've been part of a small but mighty team. During this time, I've:
developed standard operating procedures for our team
new onboarding training programs for multiple departments
leadership development and professional presence training
and a host of other professional develoment, enablement, and compliance trainings
During this time, I've enjoyed being able to leverage my tech stack (Powtoon, Articulate Rise & Storyline, Canvas, Microsoft Office Suite, Tango, Canva, ScreenPal, etc.) to create over 50+ courses, 100+ job aids, 650+ custom graphics, 2,000+ PowerPoint slides, and facilitated some live trainings to enable our Admissions and Acacemic Advising teams to run more efficiently and improve performance.
After your visit, I'd probably write you a thank you note, because I believe in kindness, communication, and positivity. I also think that sending a thank you is a personal and professional way to continue a working relationship!
